AUTORIZACIÓN DE ACUERDO DE
VISAS
INSTRUMENTO INTERNACIONAL, Aprobado el 09 de Marzo de

Your Excellency,
I have the honour to refer to Your Excellency's Note of March 3,
1995 which reads as follows:

Your Excellency,
I have the honour to inform Your Excellency that, with a view to
facílitating travel of their nationals between their respective
territories, the Government of the Republic of Nicaragua is
prepared to conclude with the Government of the Republic of Korea a
visa-waiver Agreement in the following terms:
1. Nationals of either country holding a valid passporte may enter
the territory of the other country witrout a visa for their stay
not exceeding ninety (90) days, provided that their intended stay
is not for the purpose of engaging in lucrative or paid
actividities.
2. Nationals of either country who, holding a passport referred to
inparagraph 1, intend to stay longer than ninety (90) days in the
territory of the other country, or wish to engage in lucrative or
paid actividities are required to obtain a visa in advance from a
diplornatic or consular mission of the other country.
3. Nationals of either country who, holding valid diplornatic and
official or service passport, are appointed to its dipIornatic or
consular missions in the other country, and members of their
familles forming part of their households, shall be permitted to
enter without a visa the territory of the other country and to stay
there for the period of their official mission.
4. Exemption from the visa requirements shall likewise apply to the
nationals of either country in possession of seamen's books,
arriving from any country and proceeding through the territory of
the other country in order either to reach their port of
embarkation or to return to the territory of their country. The
length of stay of the above-mentioned seamen in the territory of
the other country shall be limited to fifteen (15) days, which may
be exceptionally extended for valid reasons that only the competent
authorities can determined.
5. Nationals of either country entering the territory of the other
country shall remain subject to the laws and regulations of the
other country relating to the entry and stay of oliens.

6. Either Govermnent may provisionally suspend the aplication of
this Agreement in whole or in part for reasons of public order,
security or health. Such suspension or the lifting of the
suspension by one Goverment shall be notified possibly giving seven
(7) days advance notice to the other in writing through diplomatic
channels.
7. Either Government reserves the right to refase leave to enter or
stay in its territory to any person whom it considers undesirable
under the laws and regulations of the respective countries referred
to in paragraph 5.
8. Each Government shall, no later than thirty (30) days before
this Agreement enters into force, exchange apecimens of passports
and other travel documents, and they shall also notify each other
of any amendments made to the above-mentioned documents, providing
die amended specimens at least thirty (30) days before they come
into Use.
This Agreement be subject to termination by either Goverment giving
sixty (60) days notice in advance in writing to the other through
diplomatic channels.
If the above provisions are acceptable to the Government of the
Republic of Korea, I have further the honour to propose that the
present Note and Your Excelency's Note in reply to that effect
shall constitute an Agreement between the two Govermnents on this
matter, which shall enter into force thirty (30) days after the
date of Your Excellency's Note in reply.
Accept, Excellency the renewed assurances of my highest
consideration.

I have the honour to confirm that the above provisions are
acceptable to the Government of the Republic of Korea and that Your
Excellency 's Note together with this Note in reply to that effect
shall constitute an Agreement between the two Governments on this
matter, which shall enter into forece thirty (30) days after the
date of this Note in reply and shall there after be subjectto
ternunation by either Govermnent giving sixty (60) days notice in
advance in writing to the other throungh diplomatic channels.

Nicaragua.
Su Excelencia:
Tengo el honor de dirigirme a Vuestra Excelencia en ocasión de
informarle que, el Gobierno de la República de Nicaragua, teniendo
en cuenta el propósito de facilitar los viajes de los ciudadanos de
la República de Nicaragua y de la República de Corea, propone al
Gobierno de la República de Corea la celebración de un Acuerdo
sobre Exención del Requisito de Visa, conforme a las siguientes
disposiciones:
1. Los nacionales de cualquiera de las Partes Contratantes
titulares de cualquier pasaporte vigente estarán exentos del
requisito de visado para la entrada y permanencia temporal, por el
término de hasta noventa (90) días, a condición de que su intención
de estadía no sea con el propósito de dedicarse a actividades
lucrativas o remuneradas.
2. Los nacionales de cualquiera de las Partes Contratantes, quienes
portando un pasaporte de los referidos en el Inciso 1, pretendan
permanecer más de noventa (90) días en el territorio del otro país,
o deseen ocuparse de actividades lucrativas, o remuneradas deberán
obtener visa con antelación en una Misión Diplomática o Consular
del otro país.
3. Los nacionales de cualquiera de las Partes, quienes portando un
pasaporte vigente Diplomático, Oficial o de Servicio y que estén
acreditados en sus Misiones Diplomáticas o Consulares en la otra
Parte Contratante, así como los miembros de sus familias que forman
parte de su núcleo familiar, les será permitido entrar sin visa al
territorio de la otra Parte Contratante pudiendo permanecer en
dicho territorio, hasta la finalización del período de su misión
oficial.
4. Asimismo, estarán exentos del requerimiento de visa los
nacionales de cualquiera de las Partes Contratantes, que posean
libreta de marino y arriben de un tercer país, para proceder, a
través del territorio de cualquiera de las Partes Contratantes, a
alcanzar su puerto de embarque o para regresar al territorio de su
país de origen. El período de estadía en el territorio del otro
país de los marinos antes mencionados, deberá ser limitado a quince
(15) días, el cual podrá ser extendido de manera excepcional por
causas válidas que sólo las autoridades competentes puedan
determinar.

5. Los nacionales de cualquiera de los dos país que ingresen al
territorio de la otra Parte Contratante deberán sujetarse a las
leyes y regulaciones vigentes en ese país, tanto al momento de
entrar como durante el tiempo de su permanencia en el territorio de
la otra Parte Contratante.
6. Cada una de las Partes Contratantes podrán suspender
provisionalmente la aplicación de este Acuerdo total o parcialmente
aduciendo razones de orden público, seguridad y salud. La
suspensión o el levantamiento de dicha suspensión debe ser en forma
escrita, de ser posible, notificada con una antelación de siete (7)
días, por la vía diplomática.
7. Cada una de las Partes Contratantes se reserva el derecho de
rechazar el ingreso o permanencia en sus territorios a cualquier
persona cuando se le estime conveniente bajo las leyes y
regulaciones de los respectivos países, referido en el Inciso
5.
8. Con una anticipación mínima de treinta (30) días, con respecto a
la entrada en vigencia del presente Acuerdo, las Partes
Contratantes intercambiarán las muestras de sus pasaportes y otros
documentos de viaje. Asimismo, se informarán sobre cualquier cambio
posterior en las muestras mencionadas, intercambiándolas con
antelación mínima de treinta (30) días antes de su
introducción.
El presente Acuerdo podrá ser denunciado cuando cualquiera de los
Gobiernos lo notifique al otro Gobierno con sesenta (60) días de
antelación en forma escrita a través de los canales
diplomáticos.
Si los preceptos arriba expuestos resultan aceptables por el
Gobierno de la República de Corea, tengo el gusto de proponerle que
la presente Nota y la Nota de respuesta de Vuestra Excelencia
constituyan el Acuerdo entre ambos Gobiernos sobre la Exención del
Requisito de visa. El acuerdo entrará en vigor treinta (30) días
después de la fecha de la Nota de respuesta de Vuestra
Excelencia.
Válgome de la oportunidad para renovar a Vuestra Excelencia el
testimonio de mi más alta y distinguida consideración.- ERNESTO
